Sean James of Fern Ridge Landscaping in Milton received the Community Partner of the Year Award from Halton Ecopartners.

Halton Ecopartners describes itself as an organization that promotes “environmental awareness, builds community, practice permaculture, plants trees, practices sustainability, connects environmentally conscious communities, gives garden tours,” and more.

Sean James is the chair of the Landscape Ontario Environmental Stewardship Committee. He also writes columns for Landscape Trades.

“What an amazing evening and an amazing group of people. I’m extremely honoured to receive the Community Partner of the Year Award, and I hope I can use it to show others how valuable networking, working in the community for the environment and, especially Halton Ecopartners is to everyone,” writes Sean James on the Ecopartners website.  

He is co-founder of the Halton-Peel BioDiversity Network and sits on the board of the Halton Environmental Network and the Perennial Plant Association’s Environmental Committee. He is active with Milton Green, and the Ontario Invasive Plant Council’s Horticultural Outreach Collaborative.
