In memoriam — Ed Bryant
Ed Bryant, founder of Unilock, passed away at his beloved home in Horseshoe Valley, Ont., Jan. 28, 2021. Ed built Unilock into one of the most respected paving manufacturers in the world, and will be sadly missed. Full details and more about Ed's life can be found at HortTrades.com.

Covid resources for growers
LO's Covid-19 Task Force has compiled a number of important information sessions and resources for growers in relation to Covid-19, including a webinar on how WSIB can help in the event of an outbreak (Feb. 10), and one on changes to the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (Feb. 11).

Bill 118 receives Royal Assent
Bill 118, the Occupiers' Liability Amendment Act, is now in effect after receiving royal assent from Ontario's Lieutenant Governor in late January. The new law reduces the notification of a slip and fall claim from two years down to 60 days. Details at HortTades.com.

Get FLP certified this winter
The Fusion Landscape Professional (FLP) program provides designers and contractors with the tools and knowledge to promote and provide landscapes that utilize lot level stormwater management and enhance the environment. New resources added to LO's Covid-19 Hub
Landscape Ontario continues to update its Covid-19 Resource Hub with the latest news and information. Visit the Hub to see how the Stay-at-Home Order impacts landscape and horticulture businesses, and find a letter template you can provide employees who are on the job or travelling to or from work. Landscape Ontario will continue to update the Hub as additional information becomes available from the government.
