The Grounds Management Lecture Series has a great lineup of speakers and topics this year. Darby McGrath leads the program talking about the newly updated Ontario landscape Tree Planting Guide. Other presenters include: Bob Reeves on how healthy soil supports plant health; Roger Tschanz outlines the 2019 trial garden results; Roy Kuehn talks the truth about mulch; and finally Jon Peter from the RGB will discuss underutilized low-maintenance plants. CNLA acquires Communities in Bloom

Flagstone - Intermediate Seminar, Feb. 18-19

Burlington implements tree removal bylaw
Anyone within the city’s urban boundary will need to apply for a permit and on-site consultation to remove a tree greater than 20 cm in diameter (8”) measured at 1.4 m from the ground, or to remove more than five trees between 10 and 20 cm (4-8”) measured at 1.4 m from the ground in a calendar year.
