Final Report and Webinars are now online

Plus, the LOLA webisite is now live!

Interested in assessing your labour inputs? Want a one-stop place to look for equipment and new technology? Looking for feedback from your employees on COVID-19 risks? The LOLA (Landscape Ontario Labour Assessment) research team is thrilled to announce the launch of the new website:

We are hoping you find all aspects of the LOLA website valuable, but we know how busy you are right now! Therefore, we are asking you to just focus on the Worker’s Survey through the spring. To access the Worker’s Survey, you can go to the LOLA homepage, or to www.lolanursery.ca/encuesta for a direct link to the Spanish version. Please see the guidance below to help you get started.

Guidance for employers:
  • The survey is intended for all employees of the company.
  • The survey can be completed on a mobile phone, tablet or computer.
  • The survey is available in English and Spanish and should only take your employees about 10-15 minutes to complete. Instructions are within the online survey form.
  • You may want to schedule an event where a group of workers completes their survey all at once so guidance can be provided.
  • Your workers may submit their survey and choose not to print it or save it. In this case, their data will only come to the LOLA research team
  • To facilitate direct feedback from your workers to your management team, we recommend that you encourage your workers to print or save their survey results and share them anonymously with you. Provide a location where printed surveys can be dropped off. For example, a box or folder at the lunchroom or office.
  • The LOLA research team will be following up periodically with the nursery sector about the survey results and will be available for technical support. Please reach out to lola@landscapeontario.com for assistance.
Printing:

After you ‘submit’ your answers, you have the option to:
  1. Print the survey report directly to a printer – this needs either a direct wired connection, or there is the option to ‘air-print’ to a wireless printer.
  2. You can save the survey report to a PDF format that can be emailed or printed out at a later time. On some devices, the option to save directly to a PDF is an obvious feature, however other devices require the survey report to be uploaded to the edit feature, ‘marked up’, and then saved as a PDF.
