The Canadian Ornamental Horticulture Association (COHA) is hosting its Annual Research Webinar.

This virtual Zoom event will bring together 11 Canadian researchers who will present the results of their work up to date and its implications for the sector. Participants will also get the chance to ask questions during Q&A. Below you will find the agenda listing the timing of each presentation as well as a brief description of the research projects.

Topics to be discussed include:

• Cut nutrient inputs with sub-irrigation.
• Save on fertilizer and get less thrips.
• Giving Canadian sod growers a competitive advantage.
• Does the temperature within a plant affect its growth?
• New flower varieties thrive with less water and less fertilization.
• Improving irrigation pond water quality for reuse.
• Less water and high-quality plants with precision irrigation.
• Helping sod growers reduce fertilizer use and impacts on water.
• LEDs are more efficient and long-lasting than conventional lighting.
