Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre celebrated National Tree Day by planting 26 maple trees with the help of Maple Leaves Forever and Landscape Ontario. The Sept. 24 event saw 25 10-gallon sugar maple trees and one 50 mm caliper sugar maple, donated by Maple Leaves Forever, planted at the Sunnybrook Bayview campus through Dutchmaster Nurseries. The day was part of a national celebration of trees, supported by Tree Canada. Sunnybrook thanked Mike Rosen, president of Tree Canada; Jeff McMann, of Mount Pleasant Cemetries;Tony DiGiovanni of Landscape Ontario; and Richard Walker, of Tree Canada, for helping with the initiative.
