Landscape Ontario and the University of Guelph proudly invite you to tour this year's Trial Garden.

  • Garden to vase cutflower trial
  • Main perennial trial: with 250+ entries
  • Annuals trial: landscape and container grown evaluation of annuals with 250+ entries
  • Overwintering, container grown wildflower study

Jay Cranstone
Pollinator Gardens and Meadows in Guelph’s Urban Landscape
Jay Cranstone | Natural Areas Stewardship Technologist Forestry and Sustainable Landscapes, Parks City of Guelph
Jay’s presentation will introduce you to Guelph’s naturalization programs and work the Natural Areas Stewardship does, then focus on the city’s Native Herbaceous program, which grows over 5,000 native wildflowers and grasses each year in the greenhouses at Riverside Park from seed collected within the city. Jay will highlight the challenges opportunities planning, implementing, and managing pollinator gardens and meadows in the city landscape.
