Saugeen Dry Stone Festival attracts people from U.S. and England

Nearly 2,000 people took part in the Saugeen Dry Stone Festival, from Aug. 15 to 17, from as far away as England and parts of the U.S.
A hardcover book, filled with photographs of the Saugeen project, has been published by Menno Braam. Entitled Building Walls and Workers for the Future, it contains history of Saugeen First Nation #29, background on the project and images of the men and women involved with the project. The book may be purchased online at http://gfl.me/x2By. Proceeds go directly to the Saugeen Amphitheatre Rejuvenation Program.

Upper Canada Chapter transforms hospital entrance

Members of Upper Canada Chapter took the opportunity to give back to their community.
The new dry stone teepee is a memorial built by the men in remembrance of the missing First Nation women. It will be circled by a garden and planted.
