Landscape Ontario will be offering an 8-week applied, on-line training program for our members to strengthen and showcase our industry’s employee and workforce practices in order to help attract and retain a sustainable and competitive workforce.

The Employer of Choice Program will provide participating employers with actionable tools, training and a forum to discuss and support the implementation of practices and techniques that will seek to improve workforce attraction, retention and productivity. Tools and topics will include: how to attract and select the workforce right for your company, how to effectively onboard, develop, train, coach, and retain a competitive workforce, among others.

The program will be scheduled over an 8-week period from December 1 – 15, 2020 and January 4 - February 19, 2021. The delivery structure will be an on-line program that offers 2 hours weekly of instructional and interactive programming, with an additional 6 hours weekly of independent assignments related to developing your firms' workforce.

Employers can opt in to receive more information within the survey and / or will be notified of the application process when it opens in October. This opportunity will be available to Landscape and Horticulture employers in the Toronto and Hamilton (GTAH) and Muskoka Kawartha regions at no cost.

We are looking for specific feedback from members to inform some of the content and design of the program. The survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will be used to inform the program design. Please contact me if you have questions.
