In a recent report conducted by Landscape Management Network (LMN) on Statistics and Trends to watch in 2023, they indicated that while 96% of businesses reported a yearly increase in revenue, 51% indicated they were unable to find or hire enough staff to fill in vacant positions in 2022 and a third of the profession said they were challenged retaining staff members. 84% of respondents to the survey conducted, identified the major challenge as “Finding and keeping qualified labour”.
The Employers of Choice Program has been created specifically to provide Employers with the training and resources needed to make changes to business practices that will help them cope with these challenges.

GROW's New Entrant Worker Program The New Entrant Training Program is designed for individuals who wish to begin a career in landscape and horticulture. Participants gain softscape and installation practices. GROW also provides ongoing employment support to help GROW graduates find employment connections to kick start their new careers. |

All participants receive foundational supervisory skills and advanced safety compliance training designed for landscape and horticulture professionals. Additionally, GROW works with each participant and their employer to develop a custom training plan that helps them reach their full potential within their organization. |
