Congratulations to Jack Verrips, teacher at College Avenue Secondary School in Woodstock​ for receiving AgScape’s annual Teacher Recognition Award​! The award recognizes teachers that create unique agri-food learning opportunities for students!

Students in Jack Verrips’ class have the unique opportunity to learn about agriculture in the school’s greenhouse and learn about animal health and welfare with live animals.

Connecting Educators Video Call

Join a video call to connect and share ideas for online class activities with fellow Horticulture Educators!
  • Share and access horticulture specific teaching resources in person and through HEA's Google Drive
  • Learn about resources from Landscape Ontario, ​OCTE and Skills Ontario
  • Learn and provide input on upcoming programs that could benefit your class in the new year

Humber is offering a tuition-free Horticulture Technician pre-apprenticeship program as a transition step for women seeking an apprenticeship in the horticultural trades.

Students receive full Level 1 training as well as employment support through the program. It prepares participants for employment in the landscape sector by providing both academic and practical training.
