Vineland appoints business development director
Vineland Research and Innovation Centre has announced the appointment of Darlene Homonko to the position of director of business development.
Homonko is responsible for directing Vineland’s commercialization activities as a hub for agriculture, food and flower innovation. She brings over ten years experience in life sciences commercialization, including four-plus years in the venture capital sector. From 2006 to 2010, Homonko was executive director of the Golden Horseshoe Bioscience Network, spearheading the formation of a bioscience cluster in Hamilton, Halton and Niagara.
She holds a Ph.D., Neuroscience from the University of Toronto, Institute of Medical Sciences; a M.Sc., Kinesiology from Dalhousie University; and a B.Sc., Physical Education, Health, General Science from the University of Rhode Island.
