Scholarship helps Chad Loewen juggle school and business
While maintaining this heavy workload, he was honoured with the Casey van Maris Memorial Scholarship. “It was a great help with the financial burden I faced when deciding to go to college, even though I had a landscaping company already up and running,” says Loewen.
The Niagara College program helped him prepare with the knowledge and expertise to continue to grow and expand his landscape company. He notes that preparation came in handy to survive through the economic ups and downs not long after he graduated.
Loewen celebrated his tenth year in business in 2014, and says he continues to grow each year from the skills he learned from Niagara College. “That knowledge has been priceless, and the Casey van Maris Memorial Scholarship helped me so much. Thank you Landscape Ontario and all the assistance you offer to us!”
