Ottawa tournament attracts 82 golfers

A big thanks to all 82 golfers who participated in Landscape Ontario's Ottawa Chapter Golf Tournament at the Canadian Golf and Country Club. The shotgun start began a great sunny afternoon of golf. After the roast baron of beef dinner, the day's golf winners were announced as follows: men's closest to the pin - Sebastien Diguire from Builder's Warehouse, men's longest drive - Sebastien Papineau from Greenscape, women's longest drive and closest to the pin were both won by Trish Ferguson from Go Mobile. Two teams tied for best foursome, with a score of 64: Permacon captained by Patrick Charest and Hawthorne Cleaning Professional Mobile Wash captained by Mike Treacy.

The golf tournament committee was lead by Chris Burns from Clintar Landscape Management, and included Stacy Elliott form Bradley's Insurance and Hank Mollema and Jim Hume from Terrapro. Thank you to our volunteers Helen Hassard from LO head office in Milton, Tim Dyer past-president of Ottawa Chapter and Kings Creek Trees, Sonja Hirsig of Hirsig Landscapes, Ottawa Chapter President Sarah Johnston, Jennifer Smith from Clintar and Ben Brauer, our excellent photographer. We had a great day and a great time at The Canadian Golf and Country Club.
