Garden Description
Discover how Harmony Gardens Landscaping Inc. can create your harmonized outdoor living space. Visit our website at “Burst Forth” is the name of this 10’x30’ featured garden which is a playful and contemporary display suited to a constrained space such as a side yard or a small town home. Given the limited space the vertical elements, in the form of the backdrop and the upright trees harmonizes the entire horizontal space in providing much of the visual interest for the garden. The crisp, sharp angles are balanced by flowing curves within the hardscape as well as the backdrop. A variety of plant material softens the hard landscaping elements to add vibrancy to the space. A natural stone bubble rock adds the soothing yet refreshing element of water to this garden.
The garden’s pre-built backdrop, of horizontal and vertical stained cedar boards and brightly painted hardboard with sweeping curves, is inset with painted PVC pipes – some open and some with flowers to create a vertical planting feature – a living wall. Painted PVC pipes are cut to various lengths and clustered in a flowing line showcasing a variety of flowering perennials in the dry river-wash stone bed. The bubble rock water feature at head of horizontal riverbed is accentuated with landscape lighting. The garden is finished with a high bar style bistro set to allow relaxation and revitalization as spring ‘Burst Forth’.
