Landscape Nova Scotia honours its finest

Landscape Nova Scotia Horticultural Trades Association (LNSHTA) held its Provincial Landscape Awards of Excellence presentations at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, December 7. This event was held as part of the Association’s Annual General Meeting, bringing together LNSHTA members from across the province. Delegates gathered to recognize some of the finest landscape projects undertaken this year by the membership. “This is the third year for this program,” says Doug Conrad, LNSHTA president. “As a professional association dedicated to excellence in landscaping, it is important for our membership, and Nova Scotians, to see and recognize examples of quality landscape projects that clearly represent the standards set for our membership.”

     This year’s entries showcased landscape projects from around the province in the categories of Landscape Design/Build Residential and Commercial, Landscape Installation Residential and Commercial and Landscape Maintenance Residential and Commercial. The best of Nova Scotia

The Outstanding Community Involvement Award was given to Dubé Botanical Gardens, River John, for their work with the Tim Horton’s Camp pond installation.
The 2001 Landscape Nova Scotia Awards program will feature an award sponsored by the Nova Scotia Power Inc. (NSPI). NSPI is currently partnered with LNSHTA to promote the ‘Right Tree in the Right Place’ initiative.
