The landscaping industry has evolved in recent years towards integration with ecological principles: garden as habitat and landscaper as activist. Our panelists will discuss the multiple co-benefits of landscape transformations that use native plants in gardens, balconies, rooftops and other green spaces. Topics will include climate resilience, revival of Indigenous traditional knowledge, pollinators, wildlife habitat restoration, food security, ecosystem services, carbon capture, connectivity, and more.
