Changes continue in the MasterCard world, says the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA), reporting an increase in the MasterCard interchange rate.

     MasterCard will increase what it charges banks for processing MasterCard transactions, translating to increased discount rates to the banks’ merchant customers.

     CNLA will work closely with Moneris Solutions to ensure that CNLA merchant discount rates remain competitive, and was able to maintain CNLA’s current electronic merchant discount rate of 1.65 per cent, even though the banks have experienced interchange rate increases three times over the past three years. CNLA hopes to maintain their member rate again during this period.
