Caring and Sharing 2023
For the past number of years, Landscape Ontario’s Ottawa Chapter has taken the initiative to support our community by teaming up with the Caring and Sharing Exchange Sponsor a Hamper program. The hampers are filled with healthy foods to provide meals for families and individuals in need during the Holiday season. Last year we were able to source food and donations from local businesses that really helped pull the whole community together.

More about Caring and Sharing Exchange

There are more and more people around us who struggle to put food on their table for different reasons. Some individuals are living paycheck to paycheck, some families must choose between food or medical expenses and many of us are trying to keep afloat with the inflation issues affecting our daily lives.

Last year our goal with the Caring and Sharing Exchange was raising enough in donations to help over 23,000 people who reached out for support. That number includes over 10,000 adults and 3,000 children. This year our goal is even higher which is why we are starting early. We have already established a group of volunteers to get the project started but we need help from businesses and community leaders to really make a difference this year.

There are several ways you can support our community this holiday season:
  • Donations / fundraising
  • Connections with grocery stores, farms, food suppliers, etc.
Your compassion towards this program will relieve some families of the financial burdens that coincide with the holidays. Together, with your help, we can make an incredible difference.
