2020 Treasurer's Report

2020 has been an interesting year. The Covid-19 pandemic presented many significant challenges, however, our association continues to be very solid financially.

Congress 2020 was excellent and met expectations financially. There was also an increase in membership.

Our retained earnings for the fiscal year ending Aug. 31, 2020, were $300,125.72. These were distributed as follows:

• $30,000 to the Technology Fund
• $270,125.72 to the Horticultural Centre Improvement Fund

Next year's report will be more challenging. Losing Congress as an in-person event will hurt, but our staff has done a fantastic job of putting together Congress Connect, as well as a fantastic online educational offering.

This is a storm we will weather together, and we will come out the other side stronger than ever.
