London area youth job expo, May 15 Greenhouse Academy in Thorndale, Ont., is inviting leaders of business and education to participate in its first annual youth job fair. The 60,000 square foot facility will provide students access to business, industry and education to help drive the future labour pool of the London area. More details on the event website. Box tree moth training session, May 9 CFIA is holding a citizen science monitoring program for box tree moth from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in James Gardens in Etobicoke. Details online at HortTrades.com Canadian Tulip Festival, May 10-20 This year's celebration will focus on Canada's role in the Liberation of the Netherlands in the Second World War. TBG Blossom Party, May 28 This year's annual Blossom Party will take place in a new garden setting, and from dusk into evening. Includes live music, fashion show and food. LO members receive discount on hands-on bioretention field course, May 30 The STEP program is piloting a new one-day training course, titled “Understanding Construction, Certification, Inspection and Maintenance of Bioretention Facilities.” It is a hands-on field course, taking place in Oshawa, at Purple Woods Conservation Area on May 30. Participants will complete mock inspections and field analysis tests. LO members receive a 10 per cent by using code LO1718. Register today. OPA Dave Gower Memorial Golf Tournament, June 7 Register by May 15 for the Ontario Parks Association's annual golf tournament and be entered into a draw to win a free golf pass for the event.
