Tony DiGiovanni   Emails offering to sell lists are fraudulent
A number of LO members and Congress exhibitors have expressed concern over emails falsely claiming to have lists for sale of attendees from "Landscape Ontarios Congress." The messages are Spam and Phishing scams that automatically mine the Internet for data. These messages have been going around for years, and Congress is no the only event that is targeted. We keep our information secure and take your privacy seriously. For examples of the emails and great tips on how to spot fraudulent emails, visit HortTrades.com.

Do you know what species are at risk in your work areas?
Landscape pros are reminded that work in-or-around water requires careful measures to protect sensitive species. Specific approvals from provincial and federal governments may also be required. Canada’s national Aquatic Species at Risk (SAR) Maps can help to determine whether federally significant fish and mussel species at risk or their critical habitats occur within or near your work area. Visit HortTrades.com for links to risk maps and guidance on the Act.
