Denis Flanagan   Holiday season is a great opportunity for retailers
I received some great tips for independent garden centres today during a conversation with Anthony O'Neill. The owner of a garden centre in Newfoundland and past chair of Garden Centres Canada, Anthony stopped by my office to say hello after a meeting. Among his advice: sell custom winter planters, provide great advice on how to care for newly-purchased holiday trees, use heated indoor space to sell tropicals and wow customers (while providing comfort from the cold), use this time of year to offer unique and special products, and hand out coupons customers can use in spring. All great advice. Thanks, Anthony!
