For companies that predominantly operate within the Region of Peel and/or York Region.

As two of the largest and rapidly growing municipalities in Canada, the Region of Peel and York Region were looking for solutions to reduce outdoor water use. Together, with key players in the landscape irrigation profession, the partners developed the Water Smart Irrigation Professional program.

The Regions will support eligible professionals operating within their municipalities (please see the map below) to get WSIP certified at no cost. As field experience supports technicians in becoming competent in performing WSIP irrigation assessments, certified professionals receiving Regional funding are required to complete a minimum of three WSIP irrigation assessments during their first season. Certified professionals will have access to the Region's incentive program while available, in addition, have access to the Data Manager that will provide reports that track irrigation water savings.
