Black River Water Soldier Monitoring and Management Information Sharing Session
Come out and learn about Water Soldier and the efforts to help eradicate this invasive plant
WHERE: The Link, 20849 Dalton Road, Sutton, ON L0R 1R0
WHEN: September 29, 2016. Drop in anytime between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
15 minute presentations will be offered at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.
You are invited to join the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, and the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change to learn more about the rapid response efforts to manage the water soldier infestation on the Black River.
The information session will provide the public an opportunity to learn about the physiology of water soldier, the monitoring and surveillance occurring to track its spread, how to make a report of water soldier if you come across it, and to learn about the rapid response efforts on the Black River to help prevent the spread of this plant into beautiful Lake Simcoe. You will have a chance to ask questions and share your thoughts on the current status of water soldier.
Light refreshments will be served.
