March 29, 2016
Mon. Mar. 21, 2016 - Bridge construction on Fifth Line South by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has closed all access to Landscape Ontario's home office from the south (Main St., Derry Rd., Britannia Rd.). The office is only accessible via Steeles Ave. to the north. The first stage of bridge construction, part of the future widening of Hwy. 401, is expected to be completed in late November of 2016.

More closures into 2017
Halton Region will also begin the next phase of watermain construction that will close Fifth Line South between Main St. and Derry Rd., starting Mon. Mar. 28, 2016. The section of Fifth Line South is open to local traffic and emergency vehicles, but will still not give you access to the LO office until the bridge work by MTO (noted above) is completed in late November of 2016. This phase of watermain construction by Halton Region is expected to be completed on January 1, 2017.

Another phase of the same watermain project will also see a closure of Fifth Line South to the south, from Derry Rd. to Britannia Rd. also starting on Mon. Mar. 28, 2016. That section of road is expected to be re-opened on Sep. 1, 2017.

Motorists are being detoured along James Snow Parkway (to the west) or Trafalgar Rd. (to the east) and up to Steeles Ave. to then access Fifth Line S.
